A one-week trip to Malta meant attending language classes in the mornings, and experiencing adventures in the afternoons and at the weekend. It was just a perfect way to start a new school year.
But we were not only there to relax and have fun, we also had a mission! We all wanted to improve our langage and therefore attended lessons at a langunage school in Malta and we were able to achieve that goal by actively taking part in te lessons and by staying with host families, where we got the unique chance to immerse into the Maltese culture and try out some typical food.
The greatest highlight of the trip, however, was the jeep safari on the Island of Gozo. Riding on a jeep, summer wind blowing into your face, laughter of two classes all around and being in shorts and T-shirts in October is just absolutely amazing.
And would you believe that we went for a swim in the crystal clear water around the island of Malta every afternoon mid-October? Believe it or not: We did!!!
Even if our teachers were not that happy about it, but the nightlife in St Julien´s was quite interesting to us as well and we appreciate the fact that our teachers on our last night of the stay not only supported us in karaoke singing but then also went into a club with us so that we could enjoy some dancing there.
All in all, it was just a perfect start of a school year and we learnt a lot. Speaking English has become quite natural and we share memories that we will never forget 🙂
